R.I.D.L. imported the FARS database (same database used by NHTSA to report statistics) into a complex reporting tool called Crystal Reports. Through the use of this tool we were able to discover that across the entire country NHTSA nearly doubles the number of instances of drunk drivers. And this is prior to them implementing their "Multiple Imputation" methodology which adds in more numbers for "unknowns". In the reports listed below you will see evidence where NHTSA claims a driver of a fatal accident to be a drunk driver even though that driver was tested and had a blood alcohol content of 0.00, or had a blood alcohol content that was within the legal limit.

The following reports show data obtained from the FARS (Fatal Analysis Reporting System) that shows the number of drunk drivers NHTSA reports in each crash along with information on whether or not there was proof of a driver being drunk.

The reports are pdf files listed by State. Look forward to a full US report coming soon. Due to the amount of information and complexity, they may take a few moments to download. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read these.
